Dr. Squyres serves as the Regional EMS Medical Director.
As such, she is the north representative to, and a member of,
the State Emergency Medical Control Committee. She also
serves as vice-chair of the Quality Improvement Committee to
the Regional Trauma Advisory Council.
She is a board-certified physician in emergency medicine and
is the co-medical director of Huntsville Hospital Emergency
Department, a 901 bed state-approved Level 1 trauma center.

Spencer Howard is the director of the Regional Office and overall
program manager. He has 22 years prehospital experience as a
paramedic, manager, and training officer.
He serves on the State Protocol Committee and is responsible for EMS
education region-wide.

Alex Franklin coordinates the different aspects that make up the
Regional Office. He has served 19 years in public safety, working for
police, fire, EMS, and emergency communication agencies.
He serves on the State Trauma Quality Improvement Committee and is
responsible for the regional trauma system.

Dawn Miller is the staff associate, responsible for organizing
information on services, agencies, hospitals, and personnel
throughout the Region.
She is available to assist paramedics and EMTs with free online
education access, agency training officers with reports and can
provide information on patient care feedback of any reported trauma system patient.
